چکیده

Although ginsenosides Rb1 and Rg3 have been identified as the significant found in red ginseng that confer anti-diabetic actions, it is unclear whether insulin-sensitizing effects are mediated by individual compounds or their combination. To determine effect of on adipocyte differentiation, 3T3-L1 preadipocytes were induced to differentiate standard hormonal inducers absence presence Rg3. Additionally, we determined Rb1, Rg3, combination expression genes related adipogenic transcription factors, insulin signaling pathway cells using semi-quantitative RT-PCR. significantly increased CEBPα, PPARγ, aP2 mRNAs. However, exerted its maximal stimulatory these at 1 μM concentration, while a high concentration (50 μM) showed inhibitory effects. Similarly, treatment with (1 IRS-1, Akt, PI3K, GLUT4, adiponectin. Importantly, co-treatment (9:1) levels Our data indicate activity is, part, synergistic actions further supporting significance minor

Ginsenoside Rb1 stimulates glucose uptake through insulin-like signaling pathway in 3T3-L1 adipocytes.

A series of clinical trials and animal experiments have demonstrated that ginseng and its major active constituent, ginsenosides, possess glucose-lowering action. In our previous study, ginsenoside Rb(1) has been shown to regulate peroxisome proliferator-activated receptor gamma activity to facilitate adipogenesis of 3T3-L1 cells. However, the effect of Rb(1) on glucose transport in insulin-sen...

Metallothioneins regulate the adipogenic differentiation of 3T3-L1 cells via the insulin signaling pathway

Knockout of metallothionein (MT) genes contributes to a heavier body weight in early life and the potential to become obese through the intake of a high fat diet (HFD) in mice. It has thus been suggested that MT genes regulate the formation of adipose tissue, which would become the base for later HFD-induced obesity. We evaluated the fat pads of mice during the lactation stage. The fat mass and...

Anti-Adipogenic Effects on 3T3-L1 Cells and Zebrafish by Tanshinone IIA

Tanshinone IIA is a diterpene quinone isolated from the roots of Salviamiltiorrhiza bunge that has traditionally been used in China for the treatment of cardiovascular and cerebrovascular disorders. Although there is recent evidence showing that tanshinone IIA has an anti-obesity effect, its underlying mechanism of anti-obesity effect is poorly understood. Here, we investigated the effect of ta...

Ginsenoside Rg5: Rk1 Exerts an Anti-obesity Effect on 3T3-L1 Cell Line by the Downregulation of PPARγ and CEBPα

Background: Obesity, a global health problem and a chronic disease, is associated with increased risk of developing type 2 diabetes and coronary heart diseases. A wide variety of natural remedies have been explored for their obesity treatment potential. Objective: The anti-adipogenic effect of ginsenoside Rg5:Rk1 (Rg5:Rk1) on 3T3-L1 mature adipocytes was investigated. Materials and ...

SHP-2 positively regulates adipogenic differentiation in 3T3-L1 cells.

The Src homology domain 2 (SH2)-containing tyrosine phosphatase SHP-2 has been implicated in the regulation of proliferation and differentiation in various cell types. Here, we investigated the ability of SHP-2 to mediate insulin-induced adipogenic differentiation of mouse 3T3-L1 cells. We found that the expression of SHP-2 was increased along with adipogenic differentiation. Overexpression of ...
